Retro House Hydra was an absolutely stunning property that exceeded our expectations!
The interior design was exceptional; tasteful, thoughtful and understated right down to the light switches and electrics!
The maisonette has both an upstairs (main space: double bedroom, kids room, bathroom, kitchen, living room) and a downstairs space (double bedroom, bathroom and smaller kitchen). Both spaces are separate from the other flat that occupies the other half of the downstairs space.
The maisonette has its own separate entrance from the other flat, along with 3 private terraces off the upstairs level, one that gets the sun in the morning and one in the afternoon and evening.
Everything that you need is included.
Nina, the host was a beautiful soul and came to meet us off the ferry to walk us up to the house and show us around. She also sent us a list of recommendations for things to do and restaurants which was super useful.
If you are catching a ferry later in the day and need to store your luggage after check out, there is a venue with luggage lockers and phone charging stations at the bottom of the hill where a large locker can hold 2 large suitcases, 2 carry-ons and 2 rucksacks for 16 Euros a day
Nothing, I would stay here again in a heartbeat!

Fell in love completely with this house, beautiful decor and outside spaces and just felt like a home away from home;it had everything we needed and more and just a short walk to the port. The hosts were so lovely and very communicative.
That I couldn't stay longer 🙂

A beautiful house, nicely restored and decorated, with a great bathroom and a big comfortable bed. Just a short walk from a busy port.
We liked everything about the house. The only suggestion would be to have a radio or a wireless speaker so the guests can play the music.
