Alex's traditional summerhouse

The house is very comfortable, the air conditioning was great, Great outdoor space. The only thing that we would’ve liked is to have an indoor mop to clean up the water when we were done showering. And just update the coffee machine besides that everything was super.

If you have never been to Hydra, you would not know that it is an uphill climb on cobblestone everywhere you go. Definitely have a donkey carry your luggage unless you travel very light. Do not expect modern conveniences on an island: microwave, dryer, drip coffee maker, things marked in English, etc. The beauty of the place is its old world charm. We were uptight about a lot of missing conveniences but learned to embrace the culture.

We loved Hydra! The apartment was very comfortable. Bathroom was a little small but it worked. Themis was very responsive.

The amenities of the property were fine but quite basic. The property is much further up the hill than it showed on the map. This was fine as we were fit young adults, but would have liked a heads up. The shower overflows easily and the is only one real bedroom. The second bedroom is the living room with a bed in the corner & nothing separating it. I’ve come across this in hydra before but normally there is a separator or a curtain to make the living room usable. I tried to gently have a conversation with the owner about the location being further away than I had an anticipated and he looked me up on LinkedIn and accused me of trying to start a fight.
