Rafalias Mansion is one of the best places that we have ever stayed. It is close to the port (5 mins by walking). Rooms are adequately sized and have all the necessary appliances. There is a beautiful garden with patios to spend time during the day with a library full of books, backgammon, and a chess set. There is a gym with several machines, weights, a treadmill, and a bicycle trainer. There is even a jacuzzi for the use of the guests. Rafalias Mansion is not your usual boutique hotel, it is an old mansion belong to the one of the oldest familes in Hydra. Andreas Rafalias is the owner with his father and he had been very helpful, friendly, hospitable owner. You can notice his attention to detail from the every corner of the mansion.

The location, the history, the garden, the room and the bed.
The bathroom is a little small, but this is an inevitable compromise when converting an historic home.

Absolutely love this property and very grateful to Andreas for making us feel so welcome. Sometimes your accommodation can make a really big difference in your whole experience. We were very grateful to be able to stay in this beautiful old family home stunning gardens, wonderful facilities and foreign enough away from the main part of Hydra to be out of the hubbub.
Nothing all was fabulous. Hope we get the chance to stay again one day.
