To be fair, this is a lovely home, in a very good location if you have business to do in Newmarket.
We felt that after we made our original, confirmed/paid for booking, we were subjected to what can only be described as a "bait and switch." We made a booking, paid for it in full (non-refundable), and had it confirmed. A day later, booking.com notified us that the propery "could not accommodate" our original booking, BUT "had a solution." The solution was "another" unit, whose description was IDENTICAL IN EVERY SINGLE WAY to the booking we had already booked, paid for and had confirmed, EXCEPT this "other unit" was an additional $48 a night! Since we really didn't have time to adequately search for another place to stay at that point, we agreed, but really thought that Booking.com should have questioned why the property would charge considerably more for a listing absolutely identical to the one listed at the lower price, but they didn't.
