Affordable Room with FREE Parking in Newmarket ON

Everything was very nice, simple, and got the job done. My accommodation was a simply a bedroom and bathroom but it was perfectly fine. I really appreciated the fridge and definitely the freezer within and the small microwave i used to heat up some poutine

These are all nit picks but I do have a couple: * the waste bin in my room didn't have a bag and had a small amount of water in it and I wasn't sure if it was a waste bin or for something else so I was reluctant to use it * there was no TV but I kind of think it was so as to not disturb the other guests and there was wifi anyways (even though it went in and out a little) personally I was there to just shower and sleep anyways * there was just a little too much of other peoples hair on the floor and on the sheets (not the pillows However) it really wasn't bad and i didn't feel uncomfortable i just think the bedding maybe could've used More lint sheets in the dryer and the floor a little sweep * bathroom door lock works but you have to mess with it REPEATEDLY like cracking a safe in order to get it to lock and I worried I was disturbing others * there was an indoor outdoor cat that i don't think they ever made any mention of in case I was allergic or whatever which I am just slightly, not a big deal but one night it ran out and i didn't know if i had just released an indoor pet by accident so I got it back inside and it got past me into my room and crawled under my bed I wake up to the little guy in my bed with me but honestly I don't mind the sneezing cause it was the absolute sweetest cat I've ever seen and It was really nice to pet. Tbh I was debating asking to adopt it and take back stateside even though it has the capacity to really hurt me cause I have an AV fistula on my arm. * i can't stress enough these are nit picks and I would ABSOLUTELY recommend this place. I really wanted to interact with the owners and especially find out what they were cooking that smelled so good even but I think it's more of a get in and do what you're there to do kind of vibe. 8.6/10 good place overall

Nice hosts with clean facilities. The bed was really hard though. For the money though it was great. Convenient to Magna Centre and shopping.

Hard bed

If water pressure in a shower is important to you, especially on a cold winters morning, then please note - there IS NO water pressure in this rental. Its extremely weak. There is one bottle of liquid soap on the counter. The bathroom counter was not clean (little pieces of dark hair left on the counter. I asked for a cleaner and paper towel (because I believe there was no cleaning cost associated with this rental?) and a wastebasket but I only received the wastebasket. I just used toilet paper to clean off the bathroom counter which means its now on the floor. Toilet and sink faucet work fine. The shades in the bathroom (and the opening and closing window) do not work well and need to be fixed. The window (opening and closing) also need repair. One of the bed lights (adjacent to bed) bulb was out. There is a cute little "step in" closet, with cute shelving but the light inside works only sporadically. Sometimes it turns on and off when it likes. The futon, though not in great condition, was mostly hard, which was important to me. The bedding was fine though I question whether its changed and washed after each guest based on the general disrepair of the items above. There were 4 flimsy pillows which I managed to put together for neck support; but perhaps a firm pillow is what you seek. There is a lock on the bedroom door, which is great, as there is another guest room on that floor, that I believe has their own bathroom. There is a tiny fridge in the hallway that works. The location is fine, very residential area. I stayed just after a heavy snowfall and although the driveway was cleaned, the end of the driveway(entrance from street) was not at all cleaned and tough to drive in and out of. Having said that, the space in the bedroom is used efficiently and there is adequate space to put your things eg shelving, tables etc. Overall, I MIGHT stay in this location again, but likely on a day when shower pressure is not important to me. I did not feel clean.
