Prime location, right in front of the new civil port. Just 1 km away from the old city center. That was excelent, especially since we just needed a place to crash when hoping from one location to another. Very clean and the owner is an amazing guy. He waited for us until we reached the location quite late. Cheers to him!
Unfortunately, the parking situation is complicated in that area. There are no available parking spaces and you need to park on the public road. We managed to find a parking spot at about 200m away. Small place alltogether and could use amneties like hairdrier or an ashtray but i’m sure that will be fixed soon.

apart from having problems contacting the owner (who we think doesn`t actually live in or close to the hotel) we found the Stelisia 2 a decent hotel to stay for a few days. Great view of the Nea Chora beach area from the balcony. If you want breakfast you can get it at an extra cost from the restaurant on the ground floor. A 20 minute walk along the seafront road takes you into the Old Town.
We had just arrived in Crete and a message from the owner to contact him on arrival was missed as we couldn`t get a signal straight away on our phone. The Stelisia 1 and Stelisia 2 have 2 different owners (this has changed since we stayed there 2 years ago) The owner had to come from wherever he was after one of the waiters in the restaurant phoned him for us. We were told 5 minutes, but actually waited 30 minutes for him.
