Stelisia Rooms

A beautiful family run hotel with a lovely restaurant, called Woodstock, overlooking the sea and beach. Immaculately clean and modern rooms and modern, clean showers. Lovely balcony views of the sea, beach and beautiful sunset. I could lie on my bed in the evenings and watch the sea and sunset from my pillow. Hear the waves and feel the tranquility. The hotel rooms are also equipped with new fridges with mini freezers (for ice), great for safely storing medication or your preferred fruit / snacks. Great location, right on the beach, with many sun loungers, sea swimming is very popular and not deep. Also near a few swimming pool options where I paid for day access. The air conditioner/heater is installed above the balcony door and works very well. Great care has been taken to ensure everything is well presented, clean and new. The staff are all really lovely, even the room cleaner is very helpful and always smiles. The restaurant, Woodstock, below is part of the hotel. Excellent seafood risotto and octopus salad and a delicious almond milk hot chocolate or a select red wine or sparkling prosecco were all enjoyed at sunset. The joy of a boutique hotel is that all the staff and the family who own the hotel get to know you and offer a warm welcome and remember your preferences. As a solo female traveller I felt very safe and very welcome. The road the hotel is on faces the beach and has many cafes and restaurants and a big supermarket about 5 minutes up the road on the main road too, if you need any toiletries or fruit. If you take a right out of the hotel and walk along the coast you are only a 5 minute walk from the old Venetian Harbour filled with character and many port facing restaurants and cafes that have lovely sunset views too. The buildings are fascinating, you’ll find quaint cafes in the back streets, along with galleries and museums. Occasional musicians sit along the harbour playing “Zorba The Greek”.
