Why do coastal residents talk so little? Because they have the sea. One glance out over the sea, and your own problems become manageable and put into perspective.

The unobstructed view of the Baltic Sea, complemented by a small lighthouse, adorned during the day by sailboats gliding toward Langeland or Kiel, and at night accompanied by the North Star, which shines directly overhead.
This is the view from the house—a so-called “Nurdachhaus”—located in a small vacation community on the outskirts of Heiligenhafen, accessible by car only via a 2-kilometer-long dirt road. On foot or by bike, you can take a much shorter walk through the salt marshes, past the Galloway cattle, to the inland lake. A tourist train also runs here six times a day (in winter, only on Saturdays), and you can board it about
200 meters away.
For hikes, a natural cliff-top trail begins right at the house: to the left, it extends about 7 km to the “Blank Eck” campground toward Hohwachter Bay; to the right, it leads across a natural beach toward the center of Heiligenhafen. Along the way, you’ll pass the “Sunset” beach bar. The bar’s name says it all, because from here—a rare sight on the German Baltic Sea coast—you can enjoy sunsets over the water from April through October.
If you’re looking for a fully functional house in addition to the natural surroundings of the campground, you’ll find a fully equipped kitchen, a washing machine, a parking spot in front of the house with a free-to-use wallbox, two spacious terraces (north and south) with rain protection, and a large lawn in front of the house that’s perfect for playing badminton.
