About this house rental

Welcome to Maison du Verger, a haven of peace nestled in the heart of Drôme Provençale.

Looking to disconnect from the daily grind, far from the crowds and noise? An 18th-century farmhouse, this building is the result of a passionate 5-year renovation project (carried out by myself with the help of my father, a local farmer), combining respect for historic stone architecture with modern comfort.

🏡 A UNIQUE STAY: BETWEEN AUTHENTICITY AND COMFORT
What makes Maison du Verger unique is its blend of raw historic charm and quality amenities.

A spacious living area: The heart of the home. You will be charmed by the spacious living room under a magnificent oak frame and a local stone vault. Thanks to the thick walls and lime-hemp insulation, you enjoy natural air conditioning, keeping the house cool even in the height of summer.

For foodies: The kitchen is not just a simple kitchenette. Spacious and open, it is equipped with a range cooker, ideal for preparing large convivial meals with products found at local markets.

Restful nights: The bedrooms offer a hushed and soothing atmosphere. The bedding is brand new and high quality to guarantee deep sleep in the absolute silence of the countryside.

Transparency regarding bathrooms: While the living areas are brand new, the bathrooms (upstairs and on the ground floor) have been kept in a "vintage" style. They are older, simple, but perfectly clean and functional.

🌿 EXTERIORS: 3 HECTARES OF FREEDOM
The house's greatest asset is its environment.

Total privacy: You are alone in the world. No immediate neighbors, just the song of the cicadas.

The view: Enjoy an aperitif or breakfast facing the lavender fields, with an unobstructed view of the surrounding mountains.

Wild nature: The 3-hectare grounds are your garden.

💦 Important note - Swimming & Freshness:
In an ecological approach and because landscaping is currently underway, the swimming pool is not in service. But this is an opportunity to experience the Drôme differently! The house is located 5 minutes from a wild river (the Lez). I will share my best spots with you: natural pools, small beaches, and wild corners that are worth far more than a chlorinated pool.

📍 DISCOVER THE REGION: MY LOCAL GUIDE
As a local, I would be delighted to guide you. The house is the ideal starting point to explore:

🥾 For Nature & Hiking lovers (on site)

The evening hike: Walk directly from the house to the ruins of the old Château de Béconne or the Saracen caves.

Rocher des Aures: A superb natural viewpoint overlooking the Montagne de la Lance.

The wild river: The Lez is perfect for wildlife watching, picnicking, or cooling off.

🏰 Character Villages & Culture (5 to 30 min drive)

Taulignan (8 km): Authentic medieval village, Silk Museum, and local artisans.

Dieulefit (10 km): A must for its potters, colorful market, and artistic vibe.

Grignan (17 km): Its famous Renaissance castle and flowery streets (listed village).

Le Poët-Laval (12 km): Magnificent hilltop medieval village, listed among the most beautiful in France.

Nyons & Vinsobres: For olives, oil, and great wines (Côtes-du-Rhône).

👨‍🌾 YOUR HOST
My name is Romain. A farmer from father to son (and also an engineer in the Bordeaux region), I put my heart into bringing this family heritage back to life. My goal is simple: to offer you a break of absolute calm.

Looking forward to welcoming you to my home, your home!
