Uncomplicated & relaxing stay with great hosts

Tracey and Mark are the perfect hosts, very friendly, approachable and helpful. The holiday home provided everything one needs, it is spacious and also quite comfortable if you want to spend time indoors (which you don’t as the pool is tempting or you want to take a hike or bicycle ride). You see the Milky Way at night and only hear mosquitos buzzing (don’t forget repellent!). The host’s donkeys give you a late wake-up call and if you’re lucky you can hike with them a little (we were). There are figs standing at the pool and their fruits are delicious. So if you are looking for an uncomplicated and relaxing stay and are not afraid of free-roaming chicken that’s the place.

Nice apartment in very gorgeous landscape

Apartment was good equiped, kitchen with everything you need, fridge, washing machine, parking in front of house. The hosts were quite nice. It was very quiet but a bid far away from everything, you need google maps to find the location. They had donkeys, the stable directly at our apartment, very special, a pool and gorgeous landscape nearby. Apartment was big, a staircase up to the bedroom, veranda.

Smell of the donkeys nearby and many flies. Their chance was the horse slaughterer or to keep them, it was nice what they did for the donkeys.

Cycle Tour 2019

Stayed here on our route south from Lyon and into Provence. At the end of a long 80km day, leaving the busy streets of Valence and arriving here could not have been more perfect. The Gite was luxurious with lovely far reaching views from the terrace for our post Velo cup of Tea! The welcome from the hosts Tracey & Mark was so warm and helpful and made the whole experience complete. On these cycle tours we tend to stay in a range of accommodation from the finest hotels to B&Bs where we are looking for the right ‘experience’ rather than budget. This Gite is right up there as one of our favourites and we are considering planning a future longer stay and day cycles from here. Thank you.

A perfect stay in a beautiful area!

We had a perfect stay at Les Beaux Chenes. Tracey and Mark were gracious and lovely hosts and assisted us promptly with any need. Their property is gorgeous and in an excellent location to explore the Drome area. We loved it and will be back!

Heerlijke rustig, groen, gastvrij (en dierrijk) verblijf in Les Beaux Chênes in de Drôme/Provence.

Les Beaux Chênes bevindt zich op een prachtige, groene, afgelegen plek in de Drôme/Provence. Onze gîte had een goed uitgeruste keuken en een terras met uitzicht op bomen en tuin. Bijzonderheden zijn de aanwezigheid van de vele dieren waaronder een grote groep ezels die op het punt van uitsterven staan en waarvoor de eigenaars van zich inzetten in een fokprogramma. De Engelse eigenaren zijn buitengewoon hartelijk, vriendelijk en gastvrij. Het dichtstbijzijnde dorp, Pont-de-Barret, heeft een onverwacht goed en plezierig restaurant (Les Trois Becs).

Idéal pour un séjour ressourçant en plein nature!

Accueil très chaleureux et souriant des hôtes avec des conseils sur les lieux à proximité et une volonté de toujours rendre service. Un petit coin de paradis au calme au milieu des champs et de la forêt avec des animaux adorables tout autour. Piscine dans un cadre de détente et des petites terrasses partout dans un jardin très fleuri et vivant. On y retournera! Merci!!!!

L'accueil de nos hôtes, charmants, attentifs et discrets ...

Léger bémol pour la terrasse de notre gîte, située en léger contrebas, ne permettant pas la vue sur la campagne environnante en raison du stationnement des véhicules . En revanche, nous avions accès à l'ensemble du jardin entourant la piscine.

Authentiek en charmevol verblijf middenin de natuur

We hebben enorm genoten van ons verblijf in Les Beaux Chenes. We kregen een zeer vriendelijke ontvangst en ook doorheen de week waren Marc en Tracey heel vriendelijk en behulpzaam. We genoten van de charme en de authenticiteit van het verblijf. De dieren die er rondlopen in combinatie met het uitzicht op de omgeving, straalt een rust en respect voor de natuur uit die we erg waardeerden. Het project van de eigenaars om de bedreigde Poitou ezels te ondersteunen, verdient een pluim! De omgeving is rustig, vele kleinere dorpjes. Wij vonden het bos van Saou zeker de moeite en ook iets verder rijden kan je dieper het prachtige parc du Vercors in.

Calme et Fantastique

Fantastique très calme.logement superbe.cuisine salle de bain, salle chambre à l'étage ..il ne manque absolument rien .. mobilier de jardin . Parking gratuit .vue splendide . Des propriétaires adorables qui partagent leur passion . Nous sommes entourés par des oies des poules des chats des chiens et des ânes ..et tous les oiseaux qui chantent autour de nous . merci pour ce séjour fantastique..en plus une bouteille de vin pour nous accueillir .

Séjourner pas assez de temps.!!. ..la prochaine fois.,il faudrait au moins 1 semaine .

Le gîte situé en pleine nature, avec piscine, de nombreux animaux (chien, chat, ânes, poules, oies, lapins) et tout le confort dans le logement joliment décoré permet une pleine déconnection. Les hôtes sont aussi particulièrement sympathiques!
