The house is conveniently located for lots of fantastic walking right on your doorstep. The hill you can see from the front of the house is called Whitely Nab and you can walk up to the top and see wide reaching views of Glossop and beyond. If you turn left out of the house you can head down to gnat hole farm where you walk over the brook and up into the little woodland. From here you can also access open moorland. You could do a wonderful circular route of about 4.5 miles taking in Wormstones rocks (visible from the road outside the house) Harry Hut (trig point) shooting cabin and back round again. For a longer walk you access the Pennine way and onto Kinder Scout or down into Hayfield. The field next to the house is referred to by locals as the dog walking field, as everyone lets their dogs round around and have fun here. There are also a couple of short circular dog walking routes from here. In the summer you can also see people sitting having a picnic admiring the view! There are a couple of parks in Glossop, Manor Park and Howard Park. Manor Park has a children's adventure playground, a duck pond, skate park, a little train that goes around the park and small shop where you can buy ice creams in the summer. It is also where the local park run is held. Howard Park is a bit further out of the town centre and is where the local swimming baths are located. There is a small children's play area, duck pond and flower beds. There is free, on street parking for up to 2 x vehicles Glossop Train Station is located on Norfolk St in Glossop town centre The main bus terminal is on Henry St in the town Hope train station (direct to Manchester & Sheffield) – 10 mins Easy road access to popular Peak District villages and walking routes Plenty of local walking and cycling trails are straight from the front door •⁠ ⁠Parties are strictly prohibited and an extra charge will apply should any house rules be broken. •⁠ ⁠Smoking, vaping and taking any illegal substances in or around the property is strictly prohibited and a charge of up to £500 may be applied. •⁠ ⁠No pets allowed •⁠ ⁠No unregistered guests allowed •⁠ ⁠Quiet hours within 11pm and 7am, and noise must be kept to a minimum, including TV volume •⁠ ⁠Please make sure to lock the doors and windows •⁠ ⁠Please respect check-in and check-out times. Standard check-in time is 3pm onwards, and check-out time is before 10am. •⁠ ⁠A charge will be applied for late checkout if there is no previous agreement. •⁠ ⁠Please take extra care of your keys.
