About this apartment rental
As soon as you walk in, it becomes clear: This is no ordinary place to stay, but a space to arrive, take a deep breath, and linger.
High ceilings lend the apartment a sense of spaciousness and elegance. You enter through an original historic door with arched openings and glass panels, which sets the tone for what follows: an apartment that has been completely renovated and reimagined, true to the character of the historic building and with a keen eye for detail.
The central hallway harmoniously connects all the rooms, giving the apartment a clear yet cozy feel.
The two bedrooms facing the garden are quiet, stylish, and comfortably furnished. Each features a double bed with twin mattresses, antique wooden wardrobes, and matching nightstands with lighting. Blackout curtains ensure a restful sleep—no matter what time of day.
The kitchen combines functionality with charm. It offers numerous amenities and surprises with thoughtful details, such as a range hood whose front is modeled after the typical Greetsiel gable and was crafted from parts of an old dresser. In fact, antique furniture and carefully selected one-of-a-kind pieces dominate the entire apartment, lending it soul and character.
The bathroom is modern and well-designed: a large, walk-in shower with cleverly installed fixtures that can be operated without getting wet right away—for a relaxing start to the day. A hair dryer and a cosmetic mirror are, of course, provided.
The undisputed centerpiece of the BELETAGE is the classic hunting room. With its large dining table, it invites you to enjoy meals together, have long conversations, and spend convivial evenings. From here, the room opens into the modern living room with an exposed stone wall—a successful blend of history and the present. A large, comfortable sofa offers a place to relax; the smart TV is discreetly hidden in the cabinet.
Soundproof windows facing the street ensure peace and quiet, the garden is available for shared use, and a parking space right outside the front door rounds out the comfort.
The BELETAGE is more than just a vacation rental. It is a place for people who appreciate what makes a place special—authenticity, style, and the quiet dignity of bygone eras. A temporary home that doesn’t need to be loud to make an impression, but rather captivates through quality, poise, and attention to detail.
Or, to quote Oscar Wilde:
“I have very simple tastes: I am always satisfied with the best.”
During a renovation of the basement a few years ago, the owner, Stefan, found the first message in a bottle from the time the building was constructed (another one was found during the renovation of this apartment). Inside the bottle was a note. The subsequent investigation revealed an interesting story. You can learn more about it, because there’s a little booklet waiting for you in your apartment with plenty of information—including this very story.
