About this house rental
A small, family-run vacation resort with a swimming pool, located just a few meters from the long sandy beach of Plakias. For each week booked using the code "Happy27" at 31.01.2027, we’ll apply a flat discount of 25 euros to your booking, in addition to the price shown.
You’ll receive a 5% immediate payment discount if you pay in full immediately after booking and waive the free cancellation option. To do so, please enter “Buchung100” in the comment field. We will then deduct the 5% for you. If this rate has already been selected on the booking portal, no additional discount is available. Nestled in the beautiful countryside of southern Crete, an island in Greece, Camping Apollonia is a small, family-run resort that offers both relaxation and recreation as well as adventure. Located in the village of Plakias, just 5 minutes from the center, you can reach beautiful beaches and exciting outdoor activities in just a few minutes from here. The resort’s amenities include an adult pool and a children’s pool (for a fee), a children’s playground, a restaurant with a snack bar, a mini-market, bike rentals, and a communal washing machine.
The Happy Easy mobile home accommodates up to 6 people (including at least 1 child under 12 years of age). The accommodation consists of one bedroom with a double bed and one bedroom with two single beds and a bunk bed for a child under 12 years of age. The sofa in the living area can be converted into an additional sleeping space if needed. The kitchenette is also located in the living area and features a 4-burner gas stove, dishes, silverware, pots, and a refrigerator with a small freezer compartment. The bathroom is equipped with a toilet, a shower, and a sink. The partially covered outdoor area is furnished with a table and chairs, as well as two lounge chairs or deck chairs and an electric grill. If you need more than one accommodation, this is usually possible with us, as we have several properties of the same style.
CHECK-IN DATE + LENGTH OF STAY
Please refer to the calendar for the check-in and check-out dates, as well as the minimum length of stay for your desired season. Note: If, for any reason, you are unable to arrive on the scheduled check-in date, you may of course check in the following day (please notify us before arrival). The same applies if you wish to depart early; in this case, you may also check out the day before your scheduled departure. However, the rental period and price specified at the time of booking remain unchanged.
BEACH
Just 40 meters from the campground lies the beautiful Plakias Beach, a long sandy beach with direct access, as well as a bike and walking path for picturesque strolls. The nearby, famous beaches of Preveli and Damnoni are also worth a visit.
POOL
There is a beautiful pool with a separate area for children. Admission to the pool requires a fee and includes one drink. Pool loungers are available for rent. A pool bar serves light snacks and refreshments.
FAMILY-FRIENDLY
There’s a playground where children can run around and make friends. The swimming pool also features a shallow children’s area.
LEISURE AND SPORTS
The resort features a swimming pool. The long sandy beach is just a 5-minute walk away. For adventure seekers, there are various water sports options nearby, such as snorkeling, windsurfing, and water skiing (for an additional fee). A bike rental shop is located right on the grounds.
SHOPPING
There is a small supermarket on the campground. Alternatively, there are shopping options in the nearby village of Plakias, which is within easy walking distance.
DINING
The accommodation features a well-equipped kitchen. Alternatively, you can treat yourself to a meal at the campground’s restaurant or at the traditional restaurants in the village of Plakias.
PETS
Pets are not allowed.
SPECIAL INFORMATION
The tenant is responsible for final cleaning. Cleaning supplies such as brooms, mops, etc., are provided. The accommodations are inspected afterward to ensure they are clean. Any complaints will result in a charge of 50 euros. High chairs and travel cribs must be requested at the time of booking (for a fee as specified in the additional costs) or reported no later than 1 week before arrival (later requests cannot be guaranteed). Groups of young people aged 18–25 must be registered in advance. Confirmation of these bookings is at the discretion of the campground.

LOCATION AND SURROUNDINGS
Plakias is located in southern Crete, which—unlike the north of the island—has retained much of its authentic character and unspoiled nature. This area is particularly popular with independent travelers, as there are beautiful fishing villages like Plakias, Lendas, and Paleochora to discover—as well as small, almost secluded coves. The so-called “hippie caves” in Matala are also worth a visit. These caves, carved into the rock as far back as the Stone Age, were used by the Romans as burial sites. In the 1960s, many counterculture enthusiasts flocked to the village. Even today, the village continues to fascinate visitors with its breathtaking views of the beautiful bay. In the slightly livelier town of Plakias, in addition to the beautiful beach, you’ll find a wide variety of recreational activities, such as water sports, boat tours, horseback riding excursions, taverns, and restaurants.
