HFS Haymarket Yard in Edinburgh

The location is central and all public transport ( train, tram, buses) is around the corner. The little studio was comfortable and clean and provided everything needed for a short stay.

The booking process was a bit awkward as the place is usually only available to students. So, the first message I received after booking was an automated email asking for online registration and proof that I am a student. Only a day later I received the message to disregard all automated emails and that the flats are available to non-students during July and August. By then I had cancelled the booking and had to rebook. On the day of arrival I hadn’t received the check-in info. I contacted the contractor and was asked to fill in the online registration. The registration again requested proof that I was a student. So I contacted the contractor again and was asked to simply confirm. The staff was very patient and helpful but it would have been better to make the process easier. In the end it was worth the effort and I enjoyed my stay at Haymarket Yard.

Could probably do with a few clean especially the blinds which were very dusty

Practical location

Check-in was a nightmare as well as registration for booking. Your process is broken and unprofessional.
