Fountain View at Regency 24

The location was great, very close to town for The Everyman Theatre where I was working for the week. The parking space made it much easier for me, as finding parking that is not extortionate for the week is difficult. The room had a quirky feel to it.

I wish I had spent more time reading the small print about the room, as i discovered on arrival that the bed was a pull down bed and took up the majority of the room. There was a small en suite (better than a shared bathroom) but would have been difficult with two in the room as the stairs had to be pulled up to close the bathroom door.

Building is newly renovated and has some character features including tiled hallways and wonky stairs. Simple entry via a keypad and safe: there is no host on-site. Effective use of limited space, with a fold-down bed and steps to the bathroom. Comfortable bed, just not much floor space when it's down. Kitchen is well equipped in general, with a hob, oven, microwave and dishwasher, all appearing brand new. Strong shower and the extractor fan is effective. Good guest information including very useful recommendations for places to eat. Bath towels are on the small side but soft and fluffy. No traffic noise even though it's on quite a busy road. Close to numerous pubs, takeaways, restaurants, a park and the shopping streets, and easy to find when driving from Oxford. Parking right outside - although there are only two spaces for six rooms in the building so not guaranteed.

A little dusty in corners. No instructions for the coffee machine and the mugs don't fit under it. No kettle. Few pots and pans: it would be difficult to cook anything more complex than pasta. No dishcloth or brush to wash up. Sash window is badly painted and seems draughty. Some noise from the adjacent pub garden - which is more visible than the fountain! Small bathroom and the basin is tiny. Minimal hanging space. Electric plugs are few and not very handily located.

The location was good but then I know Cheltenham so knew it was. I liked my apt overlooked the park and nit tge road so easy to get into town. Just very short walk away,

Everthing was fine. It ‘s a small studio type room. Good value and suited me very well. The bed was a pull down and very comfortable.

I liked the cleanliness without feeling toxic clean, warmth throughout the property, attention to detail, simplicity, newness, well equipped, homely, devotional to hospitality, position both near town and sandford park, dog friendly, friendly cleaning lady - oh it was all magnificent, and also faith in nature shower gel!
