Kandyan Gate Homestay

We had a wonderful one night stay at *Kandyan Gate Homestay* and it was truly a memorable experience for our family. When we arrived, the lady of the house warmly welcomed us with refreshing welcome drinks, which made us feel comfortable immediately. The whole place is peaceful, very clean, well organized, and surrounded by beautiful greenery. The owner is a very respectful and pleasant person, and his wife is an incredible cook. We enjoyed delicious pol roti with lunu miris during our stay, which was unforgettable. The kind grandmother was also very friendly, and the whole family made our short stay very special. They even kindly helped us with transport early in the morning when we went to offer milk rice for Buddha, which we really appreciated. Our room was very comfortable and perfectly maintained. It had a TV, comfortable bedding, a fan, a very clean private washroom, and even a small kitchen area. Everything was spotless and well arranged, and we felt very lucky to stay in such a nice and peaceful place. My son was very happy, and we really enjoyed the calm and quiet environment. We highly recommend this place to anyone looking for a clean, relaxing, and friendly stay. *This will definitely not be our last visit* , we would love to come back again. *Thank you very much for the wonderful hospitality. This is my 100% honest review from the bottom of my heart*.

This place is a must stay. It’s so peaceful , away from the noise of Kandy but close enough to visit all the sites in and around the area. It’s very modern , the host were just amazing , do anything for you and great to talk to and find out about the area and country. The breakfast was excellent and we were also given a cooking class on local Sri Lankan food. We can not thank the host enough for our excellent stay.
