Bluewave Pool Villa at Hanioti

We came here for a family vacation and the house and location suited us really well. The pool was a hit and the house was very spacious for my family. The house is located right across the beach and there’s a public street to the beach just to the left for easy access. We arrived earlier than expected and the host let us drop our bags off while we went to the beach and the staff finished cleaning/prepping the house.

The house is in the middle of two towns so you have to walk ~20min (or drive) in either direction if you want to be in the center of town. We did not mind the walk at all.

It is in an amazing location. The beach is close by. The pool is great and perfect for relaxing. What we liked most was everything outside the house.

What we did not like was the inside of the house. It should be noted that two of the bedrooms are underground. During our stay, there were several issues with the property. There was a bad smell and noise coming from the basement bathroom. We had to notify the host three times, and a plumber came three times to try to fix the issue. We also could not understand how the hot water system worked. Sometimes the water was hot, and a minute later it was cold. We believe there may be an issue with the system. On the day of our checkout, the electricity went out. The security alarm started beeping, and the issue could not be fixed. As a result, we had to leave an hour earlier than planned. Anyway, I had to be in constant contact with the host, which was a little bit frustrating.
