Tidy little place and in a very good location with respect to Sicilian ferry and bus stop to anywhere in Malta. Very comfortable bed, good hot water and modest kitchen. The host lady was exceptionally kind and considerate and solicitous of our welfare. , Even though we couldn’t stay there later as the place was fully booked, we were allowed to store our luggage there for a few days while we traveled around the island with just daypacks. This was extremely helpful to us since we were travelling by bus.

The fake 9.0 review to start! I think the discrepancy between the price and the property was rather too big. For the same price you could get somewhere which was totally your own (this was advertised as a one bedroom apartment, not the case, shared kitchen and part of a house), and wasn’t so run down. When you opened wardrobes, cupboards, lifted the seats, it didn’t feel clean. I’ve travelled extensively around the world, so I think this was very expensive for run-down furniture, a washed fleece with bits stuck within the fabric as your bed sheet, sticky placemats shoved in a sticky cupboard, having to pay €1 in an old money box for heating or air con, giant wood lice on the floor as the icing on the cake! I wouldn’t want to put my body in their towels. Felt like a room for someone on a huge budget like €15 a night not €50. It’s important to be truthful for us single female travellers! I didn’t feel safe here, I’m afraid.
