This property borders Zion National Park east side. It is a wildlife sanctuary, guests often see deer passing through, wild turkeys, during the summer months, and this area is known as a hummingbird hot spot, with frequent sightings throughout the warmer seasons. We felt so lucky to have found this little cabin on the east side of the park. It was beautiful and conveniently located and had everything we needed.

Hiker’s Haven could easily be called Hummingbird Haven—we were delighted to be greeted by swarms of hummingbirds enjoying the obviously recently filled feeders. They kept us quite entertained for much of our stay.The cabin itself was a wonderful place to land at the end of each day. It is truly beautiful—we appreciated the lovely ceramics that line the open shelves and the variety of artwork found throughout. The kitchen was well stocked with everything we might have needed to fix gourmet meals (if we had wanted). The bedrooms were clean, spacious and comfortable, and the heated bidet toilet seat was an unanticipated delight! We also appreciated the high ceilings and hot shower with good water pressure and a shower head we didn’t have to duck to fit under!We missed not having an indoor space to comfortably hang out when the bugs outside got too annoying—but it wasn’t a huge issue for us since most of our time was spent exploring the area away from the cabin. We also had to deal with a leaky tire on our rental car, which made the relatively remote location of the cabin and the dirt road seem more daunting than it might have otherwise.

Beautifully equipped place, quiet area. Glad we had a small SUV, the road to get there can get dicey if it’s wet, but owner also supplied alternate directions for that very reason. Close proximity to Zion on the quiet side of the park. Tour company at Ponderosa Park very friendly and helpful. Would definitely stay here again!

We absolutely loved our stay here and the host was fabulous and helpful! We used the trailheads down the road from the cabin and enjoyed the deer in the backyard in the mornings. We loved the privacy of this cabin! Thank you for a wonderful stay!
