Only thing I can think of is the towels…

I have been traveling trough Asia for 8 months now. I generally try to stay at "budget" places. Sometimes hostel, and in some countries I am able to afford an apartment. I ended up staying in 2 different accomodations (similar in price / quality) from the host, and these were the best price / quality accomodations I have attended throughout these 8 months of traveling. Location: The location is amazing. I also stayed in the Old Quarter for a bit. Of course this is the heart of Hanoi, but for me personally, it was too busy. I took a step outside and was drowning in tourists having to navigate the busy streets while avoiding the passing scooters. This place has all the food places you need on walking distance, and 10 - 20 minutes on a scooter takes you to most places in the old quarter. The area itself also has a great balance of being suited for tourists (good English, many food options), yet it is not remotely as touristic as the old quarter. The room itself: I mainly used the room to sleep, and to work. The room had a desk sufficient for working for a few hours and the bed, in combination with the AC and good curtains, was amazing. Best sleep I've had in the past months. Everything is clean, and if you like to cook, there is a kitchen available. The TV is also great. Usually I don't use the TV a lot, but it was great to just play a YouTube video from my phone onto the TV without having to figure out how the TV works first haha. Communication: Lastly, the communication was great. I was not the easiest guest, having to extend my stay last minute multiple times, yet they helped me every time. Both auntt and nephew are very kind people, and the replies were very fast. 100% would recommend staying here!

To make the review more credible I will be an advocate of the devil and list the minor inconveniences: 1. At the first accomodationz the dishes were washed properly, but they could use replacement (some filth got stuck over the years) 2. At the second accomodation, flushing the toilet was inconsistent. Sometimes the water stream was not powerful enough. 3. Hot water for the shower is limited. After a while it turns lukewarm Again, these are minor inconveniences, and I am sure they would have been explained / fixed if I would have communicated it. They just did not bother me to a point where I felt like I had to.

Clean. Spacious, fully furnished, quiet, easy to locate, car park in front of the house.

Water in the bathroom was exitting slowly which made the floor not dry fast.

The location was excellent. The property is well designed, modern, and clean, Very responsive host!

The check-in process did not work!. I was given a gate passcode, but a hook had been placed behind the gate, making it impossible to open until I reached through and unhooked it myself. When I arrived at my room, the door was wide open, which was confusing and unusual for a new guest arrival. I also noticed mosquitoes inside, which I was told was due to humidity. The WiFi was unstable, and since the hotel uses a shared hallway router, it’s adequate for basic browsing but not reliable for remote work or VPN use. I ultimately had to check out early because of this but if you internet needs are not advanced for a remote work then this place is great!
