Hala's House

Sound: There's some normal neighborhood noise during the day, but it's very quiet at night here after 10:00. Access: Very easy - the door is just keypad access. The neighborhood is pretty walkable, about 5-15 min from local restaurants/cafés and very close to the north side of Tay Ho (lake). Bathroom: Great. Very clean and newly built. The shower has 4 functions and the water pressure was good. I stayed for 2 weeks and didn't have many problems. The big rooms are a generous size, but the small rooms are very limited. It's enough for a simple stay I guess.

Why did the housekeeper throw away my toothbrush and interdental brush?? I was disappointed that I had to open one of their packages and use a new plastic toothbrush. Cleanliness: Most of the room was super clean, but behind the fake plants and bed there were many, many plaster bagworms all over the wall and it was quite dusty. Water: There is no refill option. They provide only tiny 350ml bottles. This was wasteful so I bought and carried my own 5L jugs from the store during my 2-week stay. Lighting: The only okay lighting was the very bright ceiling lights. There was a very poor quality table lamp beside the bed that was hard to use (cable connection was bad). The worst was that the room doors are frosted glass: Often, other guests turned on the stairway lights and it was so bright when I was trying to sleep. One evening, somebody came, turned on the lights in the other room on my floor, and left those lights on all night. Because both rooms have translucent doors, I slept very badly! But there was no way to turn off somebody's lights in another room :( .
