We just stayed at Merit Guesthouse on Elephantine Island, and the experience was absolutely flawless from start to finish. The property is brand new, beautifully kept, and incredibly welcoming. It is set in a quiet, very safe, and relaxing area, far from the city bustle yet super convenient for getting around. The real highlight, though, is Yousef, the host: a young, sharp, and genuinely capable guy. He is honest, friendly, and always ready to help with any question or request, making you feel right at home with such rare kindness. The included breakfast was also fantastic: Yousef was extremely attentive and tailored it to our personal preferences and dietary needs without any hesitation. We also booked our Abu Simbel excursion through him, and everything went smoothly. We highly recommend booking tours and activities directly with Yousef: he is trustworthy, reliable, and someone you can count on with complete peace of mind. If you are looking for a new, clean, authentic stay run with heart in Aswan, Merit Guesthouse is hands down the best choice. Highly recommended to everyone!
