Palais des Papes - Havre de Paix III

This is one of the best places I've stayed at anywhere. The design in the apartment makes you feel like you've been transported back in time in France. There's small touches that make this place amazing- music playing when you walk in, a bottle of (I'm guessing Cognac) that is left for you, and everything you would need in the apartment. The apartment is walking distance to everywhere, it's in a very central location next to Palais des Papes. Getting entry into the apartment was seamless and the host went out of his way to make sure everything was accommodating. Wifi is also great and didn't have any issues

Really there's nothing that would've made it better. Everything was great as is.

Liked everything about the unit. It is a bit of a walk to the public garage if you have a car, and over 25 euros a night to park there. Expect any tourist would have to use that garage because spots are so limited within the city walls.

Excellent location. Off the beaten track, yet super close to everything.

The check-in process was a bit confusing. More communication is needed to make that a little smoother and easier. Also, a guide about how to use the coffee-maker, heating/cooling, dishwasher and washer/dryer is needed. I think the decor would be improved without the Venus statue :)

Clean, spacious apartment with large bed. Good coffee machine with free roasted coffee beans. Kitchen was functional. Had hob, dishwasher (tabs provided). Pots and pans and utensils were good. Some port was left for us. Eve met us there and showed us around and gave instructions on items. Provided a map and pinpointed places of interest. Avignon itself is pleasant enough.

Apartment is on the ground floor with windows to the road with passers-by looking in. Always had the shutters closed which makes it dark inside. Always had the lights on. Bed/settee in lounge just awful to sit on - so uncomfortable. Dining chairs are hard and uncomfortable. Details say it has two beds, but not in reality. You can hear everything in the communal hall, especially when someone is taking food delivery messages through the evening. Constant sound of phone notifications, not the fault of the apartment, of course, but very annoying to listen to. Bedroom is small, no wardrobe in the bedroom (it's in the lounge area). Have to squeeze past the TV on the wall at the end of the bed. I didn't need to use the AC but it was right beside the bed, so I'm pleased I didn't have to. Upstairs apartment's bathroom water can be heard being discharged through pipes in the bedroom. We had only one breakfast bowl (another supplied when requested), one pint glass (didn't get another one). No plug for the bath (one supplied when requested). A hook would've be advantageous in the bathroom. Threadbare towels. I was charged €20 for being 21 minutes late after the arranged 8pm arrival. I do not recall seeing that information in the details. I kept Eve updated of our progress and of our unavoidable delay but no empathy, just asked for €20.
