Only a few steps to the beach…parking beside the tastefully painted idyllic fisherman’s cottage. Seating available in the garden.
Beautifully refurbished with Gary and Alan having a keen eye for detail, design and cleanliness. Carefully considering everything a guest would need and more, including a thoughtful welcome gift.
The cottage was warm bright and cosy, lovely decor to complement the cottage. The shower is probably the largest I’ve been in, lovely powerful shower with plenty of hot water, with a lovely sea kelp shower gel provided. The bed was very comfortable with cosy bedding, no problem having a good nights sleep.
The kitchen is well designed and stocked with everything you need to cook and wash with. I enjoyed sitting at the pretty kitchen table with a view of the Castle hill and flag pole, enjoying my coffee (from the machine).

This is a wonderful traditional seatown property, right next to the sea… it is decorated to a very high standard, has a new kitchen, beautifully presented and fully stocked with every piece of equipment you would need, including a coffee machine and pods supplied. There is a washing machine and dishwasher, with detergent and dishwasher tablets supplied. The lounge is comfy with comfortable leather/tweed chairs and sofa, and logs supplied for a log burner. The bedroom is tastefully decorated to incorporate a theme that matches the set of drawers that are an original piece of furniture for the cottage. There are electric blankets on the bed if you are chilly. We were never chilly thanks to excellent heating from wall mounted electric radiators. The bathroom is spacious and the shower is exceptional, with rainfall and wall mounted directional spray. We enjoyed the history of the building and the way the owners have incorporated original bed spaces to have furniture within the space. We were delighted to be made so welcome with our two golden retriever dogs and the addition of the rear garden area that is safely fenced was very helpful and reassuring to let the dogs have freedom, without needing to walk from the property to go for their toileting needs. The cottage is beautiful outside too, with flower boxes and filled pots. The photos are good for the property, however, they simply don’t cover how beautiful the property is. The host; Gary made us so welcome and we enjoyed the relaxing atmosphere and the attention to making your stay comfy. It truly is serenity by the sea! We will hopefully return later in the year.
There was nothing that we didn’t like, although a mat for the dog’s water bowl would help contain some water. That’s so minor but would help in keeping the kitchen floor dry..
