COTTON HOUSE - Peak District Escape, Walks, Canal & Cromford Mill

Great location, really friendly and helpful owners and super comfortable

Enjoyed our two night stay at Cotton House, it's well proportioned with three double bedrooms, a comfy lounge, a nice big bath with a powerful shower over it, spacious modern kitchen and dining area and a second toilet off the entrance hall. Might be a strange thing to say but I liked the stairsl There's two staircases as the house has three floors, but they were a generous width, had low riser steps and the carpeting was comfortable. Off road parking was safe and convenient. The area is very quiet and peaceful and a short stroll down the road takes you to Lea Wood on one side and Box Wood on the other. In the hot weather our dog loved the shady walks and we enjoyed the interesting features along the woodland trails and varied terrain, be warned some paths we came across were quite rugged!

Only aspect I felt there was room for improvement was the garden, in my opinion it needs a bit of love and attention.

Modern, clean nearby excellent places for family holiday

Location was a little noisy as it was hot so we had windows open. Traffic noise from some speeding vehicles and low hum from factory.

Clean and spacious . Maybe just to far from Matlock for us, very quiet area.

On arrival the property hadn’t been cleaned from the previous people, but it was dealt with straight away within the hour so promptly, the host was so apologetic .
