Clean tidy, lovely remote location with fabulous walks on the doorstep. Would definitely return

Een echte Engelse cottage. We kwamen vroeger dan aangegeven aan. De beheerder verwees ons naar een fijne pub waar we wat konden gaan drinken zodat ze ondertussen ons onderkomen klaar konden maken. De cottage is voorzien van alle nodige dingen en volgens onze dochters zijn het heerlijke banken en stoelen. De inrichting is gezellig. Wanneer er buren aanwezig zijn hoor je deze wel maar het is niet hinderlijk. De cottage is wel heel gehorig door de houten plafonds. Alles in het huisje functioneerde. Alleen de badkamer had wel beter schoongemaakt kunnen worden. Als Nederlander hou ik van een kop versgezette koffie. Er is alleen geen koffiezetapparaat oid aanwezig. Wel stond er oploskoffie voor ons klaar. Het huisje ligt in een prachtige omgeving.

Its location was great. Lovely views across the Derwent valley. Perfect for the Cromford Canal which passes right through the property. It is also very convenient for a number of attractions including Crich Tramway Museum, Peak Rail, Ecclesbourne Railway, Matlock and Cromford itself. Parking was very convenient on site and it was easy to find on arrival.

The property had an air of neglect. A couple of broken window latches and failed double glazing units in both Velux windows upstairs. The cooker and microwave were difficult to use as most of the markings had been worn off. The whole place, particularly the bathroom and kitchen are in need of a deep clean.
