Welcome to The Nook in Kirkendall South! This cozy basement apartment sits in a quiet, family-friendly neighborhood nestled in the Hamilton escarpment. Freshly renovated and full of natural light, it’s a warm, inviting space with your own private entrance—perfect for relaxing after a long day exploring.
You’ll love the location! Right off Hwy 403, steps from parks, scenic trails, waterfalls, and the Chedoke Golf Course. Trendy Locke Street is just an 11-minute walk to shops, cafes, and dining.
The space
Bedroom: A comfy queen bed with fresh linens for a great night’s sleep.
Living Area: Bright, welcoming, and styled with cozy seating—perfect for relaxing.
Kitchen: Fully stocked and ready for you, with a full size fridge, stove, microwave, toaster, rice cooker, Keurig, and all the essentials for cooking. We’ve also included complimentary coffee, tea, sugar, oil, salt, and pepper to make your stay even easier.
Dining Area: A simple bistro-style table set, ideal for enjoying meals or catching up on work in a cozy, relaxed setting.
Bathroom: Your own private bath with a shower, fresh towels, and basic toiletries.
Laundry: Private in-unit washer dryer
Entertainment: Spin classic vinyl records on the vintage stereo, or stream your favorite music to it directly from your phone. Plus, enjoy a smart TV with all major streaming apps and fast, free Wi-Fi to keep you connected. Take advantage of a curated selection of books and board games—perfect for unwinding or enjoying a quiet night in.
Family-Friendly: Traveling with a little one? We can provide a pack-and-play and high chair upon request to make your stay more comfortable.

You’ll have your own private entrance on the side of the house, with easy keypad entry. The code is unique for each stay, so you can come and go as you please with peace of mind.
We kindly ask guests to park on the street, there are always plenty of spots available.
Other things to note
This is our family home, and we have two young kids. We’ve soundproofed the ceiling and do our best to keep things quiet, but you may hear occasional noise upstairs. Also there’s a structural beam that limits the ceiling height in a small area — guests over 6 ft might find it a bit snug.
