Like many areas of New Orleans, the neighborhood is undergoing some renovations just like this house did. Some homes have been completely restored and others are awaiting their salvation! While some spots in the area may look a little rough, we've never experienced any safety issues here and our neighbors are wonderful people!

Mid-City pulls you in the moment you arrive - the live oaks lining the streets, the sound of a brass band drifting from somewhere nearby, and the unhurried pace that makes New Orleans unlike anywhere else. This classic shotgun home sits right in the middle of it all, a two-bedroom retreat with a fenced backyard, fire pit, and enough local character to make you feel like a temporary local.
The space
Tall windows draw daylight deep into the home, landing on curated décor and furnishings that feel rooted in the neighborhood rather than lifted from a catalog. The classic shotgun layout - rooms arranged in a single row, each connecting to the next - is not just a design quirk but a defining piece of New Orleans architectural history. Two guests can sleep comfortably across the two bedrooms, each dressed with soft linens, plush bedding, and blackout shades for a proper night's rest. Ceiling fans keep the air moving, and the home stays comfortable year-round with both air conditioning and heating.
Kitchen & dining
The fully stocked kitchen is set up for real cooking - or at least real cocktail-making. You'll find a refrigerator, freezer, stove, microwave, dishwasher, coffee maker, blender, toaster, and baking sheet, along with cooking basics, dishes, silverware, wine glasses, and a dining table to gather around. Whether it's a slow morning with coffee before heading to City Park or a late-night meal after the show, the kitchen handles it.
Backyard & outdoor living
The fenced backyard is where the evenings happen. Pull up an Adirondack chair around the copper fire pit, fire up the BBQ, and let the night stretch out. The outdoor furniture gives you a proper space to unwind, and the yard is pet-friendly - your animals are welcome here.

The home is stocked with the essentials: shampoo, conditioner, body soap, shower gel, cleaning products, towels, bed sheets, and toilet paper. A washer and dryer, iron, hangers, and extra pillows and blankets cover the practical side of a longer stay. The sound system is ready for whatever soundtrack fits your trip, and the TV and Ethernet connection round out the entertainment options. A smart lock and private entrance make arrival easy, and free street parking is available outside.

Mid-City sits in one of the most connected parts of the city. Trader Joe's, local cafés, and the streetcar line are all within walking distance, putting City Park, the French Quarter, and the Superdome well within reach. Whether you're here for Mardi Gras, Jazz Fest, a Saints game, or simply to eat and wander, this location puts you close to all of it.

cute, little house built in the 1930's. Perfect for New Orleans with being close enough for a quick drive to the French Quarter, but far enough to be away from the craziness.
