We loved staying in the Alfama area. Really quaint, lots of restaurants and close to the train station (15 mins walk). Quite hilly and lots of steps but it was fine. Quiet area. The centre of town was a bit further away but we did a cycle tour which helped us to see a lot of Lisbon in a short time as we weren't there for long.
The apartment was very clean and nicely decorated. We had some issues with the arrival time of our train but Joāo was really flexible checking us in. Good communication.

I really enjoyed the atmosphere of the location. As well as the cozy and comfortable furniture. Lastly my favorite was the view from the nice terrace, and the cool view makes for a nice start to the morning.
