Carport for one compact car.
*PARKING*
Parking is never easy at the beach but there is a free small carport reserved for you. One COMPACT car will fit; large SUVs or trucks will be tight or not fit. Street or paid parking are your other options detailed below.
The carport is located on the north side of the home off an unnamed alley.
Carport Measurements: (Measure your car to make sure it fits)
Width x 7 feet 6 inches
Depth x 15 feet
Height x 7 feet 11 inches and 6 feet 8 inches dip towards the home.
To park in the carport:
1) The carport is on the north side of the home on an unnamed alley. Drive west (toward the ocean) down this alley toward Mission Boulevard and the carport is located at the last house on the left hand side. It’s directly to the left of the garage.
2) The ONLY way to park is to BACK IN. Pass the garage so the front of your car is almost on Mission Boulevard and make a slight right so you back end can swing back into the mouth of carpet. Your car will be on a diagonal.
3) Have ALL passengers exit the vehicle before parking because they won’t be able to open the car doors to exit. Have them help back you in.
4) Be careful not to hit the telephone pole or my neighbor’s grey cement wall/gas pipes. Park as far right to the grey cement wall as you can allowing adequate space to open the driver’s door to exit.
5) Be sure the front of your vehicle does not overhang the red painted stripe in the alley or you will be ticketed/towed.
*GARAGE PARKING* for Second Floor*
Parking is never easy at the beach but there is a free small garage reserved for you. One COMPACT car will fit; large SUVs or trucks will be tight or not fit. Street or paid parking are your other options detailed below.
Garage Measurements: (Measure your car to make sure it fits)
Width x 8 feet 3 inches
Depth x 17 feet 4 inches
Height x 6 feet 11 inches
There is a black garage door remote control for your convenience. You must enter the house through the front door first. The remote is on the white bench in the hallway. Open the white door to the garage. You can press the garage door button on the wall to open/close the garage or use the remote.
When checking out, please remember to leave the remote on the white bench. If it’s not returned, there is a $300 fine.
To park in the garage:
1) The garage is on the north side of the home on an unnamed alley. Drive west (toward the ocean) down this alley toward Mission Boulevard and the garage is located at the last house on the left hand side. It's directly to the right of the carport.
2) Turn left so the front of your car points to the gas pipes and meter (without hitting them, please) so the rear of the car is aligned with the opening of the garage. Your car will be on a diagonal.
3) Have ALL passengers exit the vehicle before parking because they won’t be able to open the car doors to exit. Have them help guide you in.
4) Back up so the front of your car is in alignment with the opening of the garage being careful not to back up into the neighbor’s garage/house. Your car should now be perfectly aligned to drive straight in but do not pull in too close because you will hit the two plastic storage units.
5) The length of the garage is not very long so visually check to see if the garage door will clear your car’s back bumper before closing garage. If not, the garage door will hit your car and retract up possibly damaging your car or the garage door/motor.
Please keep the garage door closed at all times for your safety and security.
DO NOT park in the alley or in front of the garage/carport because you will block access to the alley and the garage/carport inconveniencing the neighbors and the other guests/owner who are using the carport. If you do, you WILL be ticketed and towed at your expense.
If you park on Mission Boulevard, pay close attention NOT to park during the following days and hours:
Mondays and Thursdays on the west side of Mission Boulevard between 8 AM and 10 AM.
Tuesdays and Fridays on the east side of Mission Boulevard between 8 AM and 10 AM.
There are some areas that have two hour limitations.
Make a complete stop at every stop sign because you will get a ticket if you don’t.
