About this house rental

This 3BR/3BA authentic log cabin, affectionately named Doolittle Mountain Cabin, is a full mountain experience in a charming wooded retreat on 30 acres of land with several private hiking trails. Enjoy movie nights in the cozy living area, fire up the grill for an alfresco barbecue, go for a relaxing dip in the private hot tub, or toast marshmallows around the outdoor fire pit. -- THE PROPERTY -- The welcoming living room showcases soaring ceilings, exposed wood beams, and views of the French Broad River. Hardwood flooring flows throughout the open-concept space, detailed with a 45 and 40 TV, gas fireplace, sofa, and a recliner. Enjoy home cooking in the fully equipped kitchen with a countertop bar for three. Then gather the group at the wood dining table set for six. The second-floor primary suite boasts a queen bed, private balcony, river views, and an en-suite bath with shower/tub combination. Just outside this bedroom is a second seating area with two queen futons (sleeps four children) and a 32' TV with a DVD and VHS player (no cable). The second bedroom is located on the main level and features a queen bed with crisp linens and plush pillows. The second bathroom boasts a glass door shower and a jetted tub. The lower-level third bedroom offers two twin beds, while the third bathroom is equipped with a shower/tub combination. Fire up the outdoor grill and dine alfresco on the covered deck with a six-seat table. After dinner, dip in the hot tub in the backyard gazebo, and come together at the firepit to toast marshmallows. Or pack your best hiking shoes and enjoy a scenic hike on the private hiking trails displaying a variety of flora and fauna. Complimentary Wi-Fi, a washer/dryer, and parking for four vehicles are provided. Step outside onto the large, quiet porch adorned with rocking papasan chairs, perfect for enjoying your morning coffee or curling up with a good book. As the sun sets, gather around the fire pit for an evening of storytelling and laughter under the stars. For those who enjoy a little friendly competition, cornhole and board games are provided for your entertainment. -- THE LOCATION -- The property borders on the French Broad River (which provides fishing) with fabulous views of the river, both short-range and long-range views.
