This was the best home base I could have asked for and I am so thankful to my past self for picking this location for my Malta Vacation. Vittoriosa was convenient for getting to Valletta while being incredibly quiet. The location is right along the waterfront, full of super yachts and yummy cafes. I think one of the best logistical benefits was that I was able to get a taxi directly from the airport to the curb outside of my room. No stairs, no winding adventure through backstreets that I saw countless other visitors struggling through, with all of their luggage in tow.
The room itself was well appointed with all of the plates, pots & pans, glasses, towels, etc. It was nice to be able to cook for myself and being able to wash clothing or take a bath to soak my tired feet from all of the exploring Malta has to offer was all super convenient.
One piece of advice, if you stay here, order your "personalized tallinja card" ahead of time. A regular flex tallinja card does not get you free access to the valletta ferry or to the Barrakka Lift. But with the Ferry and the Lift, I could be at the head of Merchant Street or the bus station in less than 30 minutes.
A secret bonus to being right on the waterfront is that in the morning, lots of people exercise their pups. So if you stay in this wonderful unit, please tell all of my fluffy friends I said hi!
