We were contacted by a representative by phone who arranged to meet us at the apartment. She was very pleasant and explained where things were and gave us information on where to book trips etc. The location was perfect for getting around Funchal and near to all the restaurants and bars, the view from the balcony was lovely. We were able to book trips to other parts of the island at the information office across the road. The apartment itself was spacious and clean and had everything we needed.
It could be slightly noisy on a night, it's quite a busy road, but this may have been because of Festival do Atlantico which was on during the week we were there and there were events in the park opposite. The only other thing was the beds...they were so hard!
