The accommodation was excellent. The staff were friendly and very professional, including Sewwandi at check-in, the lovely waiters in the restaurant and the friendly grounds people who kept the hotel looking beautiful. The food at the restaurant was great, with many options to choose from and open long hours for breakfast, lunch and dinner (including providing a packed breakfast for an early safari start). The pool and gardens were beautiful and created a very peaceful atmosphere. We walked into the small nearby town and the Elephant Transit Centre and the hotel was pretty close to the National park entrance.

Nothing. Everything was exceptional.

My friends and I stayed here for one night to do the safari. We were met by friendly staff who offered us red currant juice upon checking in. We really enjoyed lounging by the stunning pool before and after the safari as well as dining at the restaurant nearby. I would definitely stay here!

The restaurant service takes a while, however the food was delicious.

Ein relativ neues Hotel in Udawalawa, perfekt zum Übernachten wenn man auf Safari ist. Zimmer haben alles was man braucht. Alles ist sehr sauber. Ein großer sauberer Pool in dem man sich entspannen kann. Ich war um 12:00 Uhr im Hotel und konnte dank der super freundlichen Dame an der Rezeption Sewwandi sofort einchecken. Das Hotel hat ein Restaurant, in dem man sowohl Mittag als auch Abendessen kann.

The pool is the best bit imo. I spent a day there basically alone was beautiful to swim in and sunbathe next to. Very peaceful. The staff were lovely, big big shout out to Saman who did the housekeeping. Always a smile on his face and willing to help in any way! They also arranged a safari for me which helped and took that stress away which I really enjoyed. The WiFi was awful and didn’t work as my room was on the far edge but they rectified this by bringing me a router which was appreciated.

The rooms front door had big cracks in it, i was told from the heat but i stuffed the cracks with tissues to make sure nothing came in. Huge ant infestation in the bathroom and main space. Just kept finding hundreds of them dead on the floors and alive one climbing up all the walls. The restaurant there is awful. The food had zero flavour and no skill. Worst place I’ve eaten in Sri Lanka.
