About this villa rental
Built across three floors, Villa Serena is a blend of traditional Mediterranean architecture and relaxed, contemporary comfort. The house was designed for families and friends to unwind together - or separately, when needed. The layout reflects this gently.
On the first floor, the heart of the home unfolds: an open-plan kitchen, dining and living area, warm with natural textures and light, leads to the garden and poolside terrace. One spacious double bedroom is tucked just off this space, with direct access to the veranda. A bathroom and separate laundry room complete the floor.
Upstairs, you’ll find three more bedrooms and a second sitting area that opens onto a large, shaded terrace with panoramic views of the bay and hills beyond. The master bedroom has its own en-suite bathroom and terrace access - perfect for early morning coffees with a breeze. The other two bedrooms share a generous bathroom with a bathtub, ideal for kids or guests happy to share.
There’s also a charming mezzanine level with a tucked-away studio space that leads to a secret rooftop lookout – we won’t say more, but it’s a favourite spot among returning guests.
Downstairs, the villa surprises again with a home gym, table tennis zone, and a beautifully restored wine cellar that doubles as a cinema room or informal lounge. There’s even an extra bathroom here, giving the space flexibility for extra guests.
Outside, the villa keeps offering: a traditional hearth room for evening gatherings around the fire, a covered summer kitchen with its own fireplace, and several carefully placed outdoor dining and lounge areas. It’s almost a ritual to decide each day where to eat, sit, or simply watch the sky change colour.
Villa Serena is just 800m from the Portonovi resort, with its restaurants and bars, yet feels entirely apart. Herceg Novi is a short drive away, and day trips to Kotor or Dubrovnik are well within reach.
But most of all? This is a place to slow down, breathe in the pine and fig-scented air, and return home a little lighter.
