Ripon City Centre - 1 Bedroom flat - free parking

Easy to find, central location, spacious lounge, nice decor, good kitchen amenities, nearby secure parking. Appreciated being told that there were lights out in the bathroom beforehand.

Unfortunately, the issues during my stay went beyond the bathroom lighting (this would have been fine but as I was there for work and needing to look presentable I struggled given the lights being sporadic in the bedroom too) - the bedroom lights were also intermittent, which meant that about 50% of the time there was no lighting in either room. This may possibly have been linked to the extractor fan. The location was also much noisier than expected, particularly late into the evenings, due to nearby pubs and loud motorbikes repeatedly circling the square. While some evening noise would have been understandable, there was also an event taking place in the marketplace during my stay. On Saturday morning, army displays were being set up very loudly before dawn, followed shortly afterwards by the weekly market traders (something to be aware of on a Saturday as the market opens at 8am and they set up well before that), resulting in very little sleep. Sunday morning was similarly noisy. As I was staying for work, this was particularly difficult. The secure parking space was really useful to have, although access was extremely tight for a larger vehicle. In addition, the pillows and duvet were very thin and felt quite low quality. The blackout blinds are necessary because of the very bright floodlights opposite the property, but the blind cords were difficult to reach and at 5ft 6in, I still struggled to operate them comfortably. The batteries for the TV remote ran out and so couldn't watch TV (my only non-work night) sadly but that it not something that the owners would know unless TV was switched on. The location, decor and kitchen facilities are great and as a solo traveller I felt safe so I don't want to sound too negative.

The apartment was lovely and clean with all amenities you would need for a short stay. Very quirky and in keeping with the historical nature of the building. Excellent location for shops and walks.

Luckily the weather was lovely both days but when we left it was pouring with rain. Therefore the only thing that would improve the facilities would be a combi washer dryer for wet clothes in the event of poor weather.

Near all sights and facilities and easy parking

A lot of stairs for my wife as she has limited mobility. Cupboards a little to high if your of limited hight, and the chords for the blind also

The location is brilliant to explore Ripon on foot, close to everything and has a great view of the town square. Parking to the rear is a bonus and very close for carrying everything in. The apartment itself is clean and has a very well equipped kitchen.

Everything was good, we will definitely stay again.
