Loved our stay at the Walnut Nook, very cosy and comfortable. Even though it was a very hot weekend, the cottage stayed cool which was nice. Host checked in with us over the weekend to check we had everything we needed. WiFi very good. Smart TV. Parking for one car out the front. This cottage is a mid-terrace property, but we heard no noise from neighbours. The views from the bedrooms overlooks fields, very peaceful and quiet. Would highly recommend.

The listing didnt mention the bathroom was downstairs, didnt bother us but might be good to know for those with mobility issues. Missing some kitchen bits such as scissors, potato masher etc. Only minor things.

The cottage itself was quaint, and well cared for. Effort had been made to make it welcoming Inc. Heating being on for arrival and tea and coffee and milk in the fridge. Really appreciated this!

Unfortunately my father who suffers with sensory Neuropathy was a bit concerned with the stairs, so we made him up a bed using the pull out sofa bed but the matteress is so thin, he could feel every spring. This sofa bed Cannot be marketed as extra sleeping facility as it is far too poor quality in this day and age for anybody to sleep on. The double bed in one of the rooms feels more like a 3/4 size and when you turn your partner rolls in to you, so we were looking forward to getting home and getting in to our own beds as we've all left with backache. The noise from the neighbours was 😖. I appreciate that the weekend is a time for home improvements, but the drilling, banging, and sawing that can be heard in the garden and then worse when you come inside was too much. It was beautiful weather and when you just want to relax it was like being next to a building site. Unfortunately, most of our issues are out of the owners control , so the overall review is affected by this. The shower is smaller than my caravan shower, although water pressure good and lovely and hot , but you cannot move in such a small space, so if you were on the larger size, you would struggle to shut the door.
