Comfortable cottage single room. The breakfast was excellent. And the cafe being adjacent an added bonus. All staff encountered smiling and welcoming. On another occasion such facilities as the kitchen and dining area may prove very useful.

I was the only guest in the cottage and had everything to myself. Enroute to my room another bedroom door was open and the bed was unmade etc for my entire stay. I'm aware I could have simply closed the door. But it just seemed a bit shoddy to have left it that way. I am an artist and looking for accommodation on an on-going basis. This time being a one-night trial only. If the cottage was full to capacity that would mean sharing the shower room and other facilities with a further six other guests. And that could affect the quality of a stay significantly.

Took a walk in the grounds & visited the church - great historic setting.

Provision for a GF and dairy free diet was appreciated. Rooms were a suitable size for our purposes. Good, clean bathroom with ample shampoo, conditioner, soap and clean towels. Good wifi.

Rooms could do with a deep clean (e.g.back of cupboard. & under beds) We had a 10 tog duvet, much too hot for this time of year. We had difficulty sleeping comfortably as a result. Lighter alternatives would be great. Some of the regular bread was moldy.

Pastries were welcome, plenty of towels etc, everything well presented and clean

We had an issue with our key code info being wrong and it was impossible to contact anyone at all as we got back to the room and realised the problem quite late. I'd suggest guests must have access to an emergency 24/6 contact number for someone. Luckily there was another empty open room in the property that we used to sleep in. The instant coffee is awful. Take my advice and buy a few jars of Douwe Egbert's, it makes all the difference at 8am in the morning! Also, if you are going to have bread ham and cheese available, don't forget the butter! Better still, offer a discount for breakfast at the tea room next door and everyone is happy!
