Villa Claus - Private Pool Oasis in Puerto Calero

Era todo para nosotros, había tranquilidad y disponíamos de todo lo necesario para pasar unos días (utensilios, toallas,..), además muy bien ubicado y con parking. La anfitriona súper amable y atenta. Repetiremos.

Nada, todo estupendo

Beautiful place with great facilities and lovely host. Location fantastic with just a few minutes walk to the main supermarket, sports/gym complex and a five minute walk to the marina.

The only thing was that the bed pillows, duvet and sheets could do with renewing.

Although the property is located near the top of the hill coming out of the harbour we knew that so it was not a problem as we are walkers. Surrounding properties were quiet. Supermarket and cafe, barbers etc 2 streets below us. Bus stop a five minute walk away, could take you into Puerto del Carmen or south to Playa Blanca or the airport. Use of the pool area was amazing. Made it feel like you were living in the main house and not the guest house. PC itself is very nice, plenty of restaurants and pubs. McSorleys for breakfast and Upper Deck for craft beer and live football.

Being picky. A bit more storage in the kitchen, as units were full of crockery etc. Equipment was fine. The kitchen is a kitchenette not a kitchen. Somewhere to dry towels would be handy.

We really enjoyed our 6-night stay at Villa Claus. The location was perfect for us—just about 500 metres from the marina, with a convenient taxi rank along the way. There is also a superb, well-stocked supermarket only 150 metres from the villa, and it genuinely offers some of the best bread we’ve come across anywhere. The one-bedroom apartment was exactly as described. During our stay, we had full and exclusive use of the beautiful pool and outdoor dining area, both offering lovely sea views. The finish and upkeep of the pool area and gardens were top class and added greatly to the overall experience. Inside, the apartment was spotlessly clean and equipped with an excellent air conditioning unit that both heats and cools efficiently. The hosts, Maria and Alejandro, were attentive and professional throughout. Maria even checked in with us after arrival to make sure we had everything we needed, which was a thoughtful touch. One thing to note is that there is a fairly steep hill between the marina and the villa, which might be challenging for anyone with limited mobility. That said, we are a retired couple in our mid-60s and had no issues at all—in fact, we really enjoyed it. The surrounding area offers fantastic walks, particularly along the cliff tops between Puerto Calero and Puerto del Carmen to the north, and Playa Quemada to the south. Each walk takes about an hour and features truly breathtaking scenery. Overall, the apartment and villa were immaculate, the sea views were wonderful, and we had a relaxing and thoroughly enjoyable stay. We would have no hesitation in recommending Villa Claus.

Having to leave
