San Giuseppe Elegant Loft Heart of Florence QK

The location is a 10 plus. It is a short walk to everything that you want to see in Florence. It is a second floor apartment with a large open loggia-terrace which oversees the street. The main living space is very large with very high ceilings and a great combination of trim and paint and art. The kitchen is small but adequate and has decent furnishings. The master bedroom is large and comfortable with very good closet space and an in-suite bathroom which is very nice. It was very clean and because of the fact that it had large glass doors opening from the living room to the terrace and from the second bedroom to the terrace it was an apartment with a lot of light.

It is advertised as a two-bedroom apartment which implies that it would have two usable bedrooms. The master bedroom is fabulous. The second bedroom has a small bed that in the United States would be called a full size. It is not an adequate size bed for two adults. The second bedroom faces the street and in Italy most of the streets are all made of stone so any noise echoes and if you're a light sleeper the second bedroom is not the place where you want to be. And this particular Street is a bit busy with people traveling from place to place. Not necessarily bars in restaurants on the same block but it is a major thoroughfare for people traveling in Florence. They were only willing to provide one set of keys. When you have two couples with two different agendas this makes it very difficult. They were also unwilling to give us any flexibility on check out time or a place to leave our luggage. It is also on the second floor which means it's up for very long flights of steps. If you're carrying luggage it's just what it is, and this is just the way Italy is, so perhaps that's not a complaint. Overall it's nice and I would probably stay there again but I would also probably look around a bit and see what other options were available.
