Kleine aber sehr- sehr feine Frühstücksauswahl Auf Wunsch wurden Spiegeleier serviert und Kaffee aus der profi Kaffeemaschine Schönes Haus, schön eingerichtet und dekoriert in der Altstadt Sehr nette Personal, die uns gut über Sehenswürdigkeiten informiert hat.

I loved this hotel. It was full of old furniture, and quite formal, but I loved it. There was an original painting above my bed and in the dining room that I found astonishing. The staff were lovely and friendly. My room was cleaned every day, with fresh towels. Breakfast was lush. It was amazing for a 3-star hotel and there was smoked salmon every day! The scrambled eggs were very tasty.

Breakfast was great. They said it was 7-10, but they were still restocking fried eggs at least as late as 10--they didn't run out of anything, despite most folks showing up in the last half hour most days. Good variety, good quality, plenty of food. The staff were all very friendly, if not particularly competent. The location was right in the middle of town--couldn't be better.

The air conditioner couldn't keep up with the heat wave. It also started leaking water on the floor eventually. The room safe was broken and the staff seemed pretty clueless about how to investigate the problem. They promised to fix or replace it, but never did (although they did store stuff for me in the hotel safe). This was a repeated trend--they'd say they'd do something, like refill the soap, and then you'd have to ask again the next day. The cleaners...didn't really. They didn't clean hair out of the shower, there were dead bugs on the windowsills, etc. Overall the room was clean-ish and the linens were fine, but for the price, I'd expect better work. (See above about the soap, too. We had to ask for toilet paper refills as well.)
