Land Roots Riverside Apartments

We had a very comfortable stay at Land Roots. The apartment was exactly as described. We especially enjoyed the stunning view from the terrace over the Douro River and the Ponte Luiz, wow it was breath-taking both during the day and at night with all of the city lights and buildings lit up. Watching the water traffic is great. This apartment is new, modern, stylish, clean and has all of the amenities that we needed for a lovely three days in Porto. It is in a quieter part of the city, across the water from the very busy tourist area, which we appreciate as we like to get away from the crowds, but we also found that it was an easy and pleasant 15-20 minutes walk along the waterfront to the bridge, restaurants, bars, markets and highlights of Porto. There aren't any convenience shops nearby, and so for late night shopping we took a quick uber for a few euro. Good air-conditioning was a real bonus with the sweltering weather we had in July.

I'd do away with the ocassional rugs. They're a struggle to keep clean and really aren't necessary in this lovely apartment.

Der Online-Kontakt war stets schnell und unsere Fragen wurden umfassend beantwortet. Die Unterkunft hat eine tolle Aussicht mit großzügiger Terrasse, die vom Schlaf- und Wohnzimmer aus Zugang hat. Mit dem Aufzug von der Tiefgarage bis auf die Wohnungsetage war der Gepäcktransport sehr angenehm.

Die Unterkunft war nicht sauber. Zwar war frische Bettwäsche aufgezogen und es gab frische Handtücher, die Unterkunft war aber deutlich nicht geputzt und nicht gesaugt. Wir haben uns so unwohl gefühlt, dass wir vor dem ersten Gebrauch das Geschirr gespült und die Unterkunft geputzt haben. Das ist bei einer Unterkunft dieser Preislage nicht akzeptabel. Die Terrasse hat keine Beschattungsmöglichkeit; dort wurde es bei unserem Aufenthalt vormittags schnell zu heiß um sich dort aufzuhalten. Obwohl die Terrasse Platz für zwei Liegestühle bzw. Sonnenliegen bietet, gab es leider keine.

Appartement très confortable, très propre, très bien équipé. Magnifique vue sur le Duro. J'y retournerai avec plaisir.
