Very cute cottage. Spotlessly clean, well equipped and comfortable.

Not really a dislike, but situated on a very busy main road and not comfortable to have the windows open at night because of the noise, especially when you are there on the 3 hottest days of the year!!

The property was very clean and presentable. It smelled very clean and fresh on arrival and we could tell that great care was taken to prepare it for us. Complimentary tea, coffee and bottle of milk left in the fridge was a lovely touch. It seemed to have everything we needed for our 3 night stay.

A few maintenance issues - wobbly tap and bathroom door lock falling off. We also found that one of the en suite showers didn’t quite heat up well enough so we ended up using just one shower. It also didn’t quite drain well so the bathroom ended up flooded at times. Also the front and back door locks didn’t seem very secure. The biggest issue was the location. For those booking, please be aware that the property is situated on a busy A road which never sleeps.. cars, motorcycles, HGVs passing at all hours of the day and night. I had to sleep with my ear plugs in every night and it was still noisy. There doesn’t seem to be any noise isolation either - doors and windows not double glazed. It’s such a shame though because it is really a beautiful property. If not for the noise issue we would definitely have stayed again.

Beautiful and comfortable with 2 ensuite bathrooms and powder room on first floor. Wonderful heated floors well appreciated as it was a chilly May week! Amenities shiny new, water pressure great, beds comfortable, decor tasteful- the cottage worked very well for 2 couples. Parking spot right in front.

On main road so traffic noise can be an issue although very little traffic at night. Could use more hooks and hangars in rooms and bathrooms for towels etc.
