The only reason I gave the hosts less than great rating is the instructions for the location and parking and overview of the apartment like where to put the trash need improvement.
Instructions noted above, need to be better organized and clearer, multiple confusing emails, no street number for the apartment to put into google maps, same for parking.

Fabluous decor and stunning architectural features. Biscuits and milk were lovely on arrival. Parking space was great too. Comfortable bed and lovely and warm apartment. Kitchen was well equipped :) We had a wonderful time.
Toilet seat needs fixing! A shelf would be useful in the shower as nowhere to put soap, shampoo etc. A rubber mat would also help as it felt quite slippy. A dustpan and brush would also be great so we could keep on top of dropping bits in the kitchen. These are minor issues though as it was really lovely.

Location is superb, roomy and well appointed, very clean and nicely decorated. This is our third return trip to this property and we enjoy it with a couple of small reservations. We are old, so climbing up narrow twisting staircase to get in with baggage is a little challenging, but worth it.
They really need to fix the toilet seat that is holding on on one side only (it was the same last year and we assumed it would have been fixed by now). It would be very helpful if they had some place in the shower to put shampoo and soap except on the shower floor, which for older people is again a challenge reaching down to the floor and having no handhold in the shower to steady one. Again it is not a "I wont come again' situation, but it would make things a lot safer and easier.

Adorable cottage with fantastic location in Stow-on-the-Wold. Enjoyable kitchen space and pleasantly surprising amount of lighting for an old building. Low doorways and some uneven flooring as to be expected with a historic apartment add to the charm but could be a hazard for younger or older guests.
While the location and flat itself were charming, poor management makes this was a very mixed bag. The entry to the flat has been flooded for months (looking back through the guest book) with the flooring soaking wet and significant smell of mold. There was also mold growing on the bathroom ceiling and shower. This makes the location unhealthy and potentially dangerous for guests with asthma. In addition, instead of providing an address, the directions to both the flat and parking spot (which are in separate locations) are provided in a long descriptive paragraph which refers to two businesses that have long ago closed and been replaced with other businesses. The emailed instructions and written instructions are even different, with the instructions inside the flat saying it is the 5th spot and the email saying the 6th spot. Photos and a map including with the booking reminders are a simple solution used by other locations with tricky locations--I have no idea why that is not being used to better the experience of guests. When I checked in with local shops to see if they knew which parking spot the flat was assigned, they were unable to answer except to tell me two spots that had recently been parked in incorrectly by equally confused guests.
