Quirky and private apartment with lovely sized rooms and vaulted ceilings and a fab place to stay for a few nights, right in the heart of town and an easy walk everywhere.
The parking space was not at all obvious. The what3words didn't work and seems incorrect. There are no markings on the space to indicate it is connected to the apartment. Also the space is a couple of roads away on the other side of the market square so out of sight. A simple graphic or map to show the space would have been far more sensible. Also there were a few maintenance matters we should not have encountered - the cold tap lever on the kitchen sink came off and although someone came and put it back on it was a shoddy job and came off again ; a light in the living room was blinking crazily so we couldn't use that set of lights, and an under-cupboard light in the kitchen was not working.

The only reason I gave the hosts less than great rating is the instructions for the location and parking and overview of the apartment like where to put the trash need improvement.
Instructions noted above, need to be better organized and clearer, multiple confusing emails, no street number for the apartment to put into google maps, same for parking.

Adorable cottage with fantastic location in Stow-on-the-Wold. Enjoyable kitchen space and pleasantly surprising amount of lighting for an old building. Low doorways and some uneven flooring as to be expected with a historic apartment add to the charm but could be a hazard for younger or older guests.
While the location and flat itself were charming, poor management makes this was a very mixed bag. The entry to the flat has been flooded for months (looking back through the guest book) with the flooring soaking wet and significant smell of mold. There was also mold growing on the bathroom ceiling and shower. This makes the location unhealthy and potentially dangerous for guests with asthma. In addition, instead of providing an address, the directions to both the flat and parking spot (which are in separate locations) are provided in a long descriptive paragraph which refers to two businesses that have long ago closed and been replaced with other businesses. The emailed instructions and written instructions are even different, with the instructions inside the flat saying it is the 5th spot and the email saying the 6th spot. Photos and a map including with the booking reminders are a simple solution used by other locations with tricky locations--I have no idea why that is not being used to better the experience of guests. When I checked in with local shops to see if they knew which parking spot the flat was assigned, they were unable to answer except to tell me two spots that had recently been parked in incorrectly by equally confused guests.
