The Cottage at Craigavon House

Unser Aufenthalt bei Nick&Nade war fantastisch! Die Fotos werden der schönen Einrichtung gar nicht ausreichend gerecht - und dem tollen Ausblick auch nicht. Wir haben uns mit Hund noch nirgends so willkommen gefühlt ! Man merkt wie tierlieb die beiden sind. Und das ihr Hund Marbles auch einmal kurz Hallo gesagt hat war ebenso ein Highlight 😉 Man merkt mit wie viel Detail und Liebe eingerichtet wurde, zudem warteten im Kühlschrank bereits Getränke, Aufstriche, sogar Brot, Süßes wie auch kleine Whiskyproben zum Verkosten auf uns. Wahnsinn! Wenn wir die Gelegenheit haben, würden wir auf jeden Fall Wiederkommen !

Wirklich das einzige Manko: die Matratze könnte erneuert werden, zumindest auf der linken Hälfte sank man gut ein.

Really well equipped cottage in stunning location. Got to watch a deer come to the garden and eat her tea each night of our stay. Pretty magical all in all.

We loved absolutely everything about this cottage! This cottage made our entire trip to Scotland memorable. The hosts, Nade and Nick, are extremely gracious and friendly. We loved talking to them every time we met during our stay. Special mention to Marbles, our third host at the property, who generously accompanied us to show us around the property ;-). The cottage is right beside the hosts' own house, right in front of the lake, and the backyard leads you directly to the "lakeside seat" that offers you a breathtaking unrestricted view of the entire landscape. We spent every single evening strolling around the backyard as the sun set over the lake, hearing the birds chirp all around us as they get their daily feed from Nade in the garden behind the cottage. The cottage literally wraps you like a warm blanket, with amazing views right from your window to a cozy bed and a lovely living/dining room. Within 5-10 minutes driving distance, you will find enough supplies for your stay, if you want to cook. We cooked during our stay, as the kitchen is well-stocked with basic condiments, staples, cookware and equipments. You may also enjoy the boardgames and books in the living room. There is also a very good washer-dryer combo machine in the kitchen that we used. Overall, we can't rate this cottage high enough -- this is going to be worth every dime you spend. We loved everything at this cottage. If we nitpick a bit, a little more water pressure in the shower would be great. However, we understand that it is very hard with an instant heated shower. May be a hot-tub in the future? ;-)
