Altura 50 Croydon - Modern Urban Living

Convenient location, opposite East Croydon station. Amenities were great, though I did not make use of most of them, but good to know they were there. Generally quiet and peaceful. Lifts were very quick. Shower set up was great.

My only gripe would be that the floor could do with a major wet clean. The bottom of my feet were very dirty on day one and I had to go a buy flip flops for wearing in the room.

Nice comfortable Morden studio apartment I would have given a perfect mark but for the reasons listed in the next column.

The studio had everything except a TV (which was advertised) and an electric kettle. I had to boil water for my coffee in a pot.

Convenient, close to transport to central London Near shops and restaurants

Could do with a TV, iron and ironing board instead of going through the app, hiring an iron.

No TV I contacted a few times to get more things so I could change towels/bedsheets/toilet roll as we were at the property for a week and was told in short no. The pillows are virtually flat and you won't be able to request different ones We were two adults who cook and clean no more than average so what was provided for a 1 week stay wasn't sufficient at all. Be prepared to have to buy cleaning products. There's no hand wash in the bathroom. No dust pan and brush. I just think a little more thought into what is considered as "basics" needs to happen. I don't think based on this it was good value for money unfortunately. I do understand the concept of self contained however the basics and service initially and options not available can impact the stay. There is a lot of potential but some things on a service level need adapting.
