A VERY UNPLEASANT EXPERIENCE FOR A FAMILY.
AVOID;The property was further out than we expected but that’s our fault for not researching properly due to busy period before Christmas.
It’s situated in an area we wouldn’t normally stay as a family.
On arrival the outside of the house looks ok and we let ourselves into the house using the key lock code we were given after being requested to leave a deposit.
AVOID:…THIS PROPERTY IN ITS CURRENT STATE IS UNSAFE. The negative list is too long to mention in detail once we were of the things we didn’t like.
This property is not suitable for more than one family or more than 3 or 4 people as the rooms are small, the single downstairs toilet is inadequate as you can only just get inside it. The bathroom has a miniature sink which you can’t get too safely due to the protruding glass cabinet which you can easily hit your head on when bending down to use the sink. The conservatory has an outside door which is faulty and does not close or lock properly meaning you feel unsafe when going to bed as you have to lock the inside doors which clearly would be a fire hazard as it would delay your exit in case of a fire.
The radiator in one of the bedrooms did not work.
There is a security alarm just inside the front door which appears to be the only one they gain entry into for the whole house. This alarm was accidentally set off by my 17 yr old son when he missed the last step coming down the stairs and put his hand on the wall to stop falling. This unfortunately led to the internal and external alarms going off for nearly an hour which was distressing. We immediately contacted the property manager Michael who stated he didn’t know the reset code so we just had to wait until it eventually switched off. Michael contacted us after we had left in the morning with the reset code.
We left early in the morning as we hardly slept due to the feeling of feeling unsafe and the nocturnal sexual activity from next door. ( not what you want your kids to hear)
THE FINAL POINT IS THE MAIN REASON WE WERE UNHAPPY. THE ELECTRICAL SYSTEM AND WIRING IN THIS HOUSE IS INSAFE AND DOESNT MEET REGULATIONS AND CRITERIA REGARDING SOME ASPECTS. THE METER WAS FOUND IN THE KITCHEN AT FLOOR LEVEL AND THE AMOUNT OF EXTENSION LEADS AND PLUGS WAS UNSAFE.
