Central location

Locked cabinet in the room (felt like stayin in someone's space). Shabby chic look needs some attention to detail.

Apartamento moderno, relativamente próximo à estação central.

O fato de ter somente uma chave, quando somos duas pessoas. Não conseguia utilizar o cofre de chaves externo, que era muito duro para abrir e fechar. Quarto relativamente pequeno, sem nenhum espaço comum extra. Escada bastante íngreme e estreita.

The hosts were friendly & communicative. Mix upmover the key number but settled quickly without problem. Position relative to central station, old town and buildings/areas of interest was just right. First floor studio had a decked balcony which gave a good view of gardens though was not accessible. Bed was large & very comfy, leather sofa justv rioght forb reading & getting breath back, fridge, kettle & coffee maker appreciated. Excellent shower room/sink/wc. Overall we loved the stay and the quick feedback whenever we had a query. And the Dutch people everywhere wer so approachable and helpful

Nothing caused us any real problem but some issues might concern others. The stairs to the first floor are typical of older buildings in Amsterdam - very steep with narrow treads. A person with ambulatory difficulties should avoid this. We had supernumary guests - house mice. Cute and we freed a couple that had clambered into our waste paper basket - not uncommon in older buildings here with sprung timber floors. Shower radiator had a slight leak. The particulars note that the 'kitchen facilities' are just as described above. Even so, a cupboard with basic utentils would have helped. Cyclists rule in Amsterdam - ubiquitous, dominant and frequently orally agressive! With narrow footways and roads often blocked by delivery lorries and cars, you have to keep your wits about you

Location

- Poor lighting, not suitable for working or reading - A small table or a chair would be nice - No shelves to put your things in the bathroom - Mice at night. Keep your bags closed! - To be woken up by the neighbors upstairs every day at 7 am - You should be advised that the stairs are not easy to climb
