The space
Welcome to The Woods!

The cottage features an open concept kitchen, dining, and living space. The kitchen has everything you’ll need for a quiet dinner at home, including spices.

Large windows line the dining and living area. Enjoy the breathtaking view while you eat at the dining table or curl up by the wood stove in the living room. For your entertainment, there is a TV with a DVD player and a large DVD library, Apple TV (Netflix provided), and games. Children’s toys and equipment are available upon request.

There is a washer and dryer in a closet just off the kitchen.

The 3-piece bathroom has a standing shower.

Sleeping arrangements:
• Main bedroom: Queen sized Murphy bed. Fold up during the day to transform the room into a functional office space.
• Second bedroom: Queen sized Murphy bed. Fold up during the day to transform the room into a functional office space.
• Living room: Queen size pullout sofa bed. A 4-inch mattress topper is available upon request.

Directly outside the cottage are your dedicated outdoor spaces. These include front and back decks, a private back yard, and a fire pit. All are excellent venues for enjoying the picturesque setting, day or night.

A short walk from the cottage is a 7-person hot tub overlooking the mountains and lake. Take in the sights as your stress seeps away. Please note that this amenity is shared with the other dwellings on the property.

Our property is privately positioned with no neighbours in sight. You can hear the sound of the creek in your backyard and catch an occasional glimpse of roaming elk, deer, and even turkeys. A 10-minute walk through the forest takes you to a secluded beach on the shores of Kootenay Lake.

The cottage is dog friendly. Guidelines for dogs are as follows:
• Please do not leave your dog unattended in the cottage (unless crated) or tied up outside
• Please do not allow your dog to roam the property unattended
• Pet fee applies

In the winter months, we strongly recommend a vehicle with snow tires and AWD, as our driveway is steep.

Other things to note
For your safety and ours, external security cameras are installed on the side of the Lodge. These cameras monitor the driveway of the property only and do not cover any private areas such as the interior.

The property contains 2 other dwellings which are also rented out on VRBO. Each rental group has their own autonomous space and privacy.
- All 3 dwellings can be rented individually or as a group
- In total the property has 14 beds and can sleep up to 24 people
- We are open to inquiries about retreats and small weddings
