Barcelona - Gracia 5-A

There was a member of property management there to meet us upon arrival because we had let them know what time we would be there. Light fills this lovely apartment through large windows with a terrace on one side and a balcony on the other. You can go up one flight of stairs outside (seen on the site photos) to the rooftop where there are spectacular views of the surrounding city including the familia Sagrada and mount Tibidabo. You can sunbathe in lounge chairs on the roof. The sauna and outdoor shower up there were lovely. Everything was clean and tidy. Washer is great. We dried our clothing on the balcony rail. The apartment is in a great location, easy walking distance to many attractions. We ate daily at Honest Greens, a Barcelona founded restaurant with multiple locations. The food there is fresh, healthy and absolutely delicious!! We really enjoyed our stay.

When we first arrived I was surprised that such a lovely apartment could be located on such a dingy side-street entrance. The weather was overcast and the street felt narrow and a bit shady. I was worried I'd made a grave mistake in booking. But once we explored the neighborhood going every direction, we realized it was actually a great neighborhood. There are some side streets that are prettier than others. This one is "meh" After being in Madrid, Barcelona does feel less clean.
